Hinchingbrooke is a forward-looking, friendly, efficient, safe and clean hospital, providing quality health care for the people of Huntingdonshire and surrounding areas, a population of approximately 161,000 people.

Hinchingbrooke has 223 beds, including 24 specifically for day cases, alongside 23 cabins located in the Treatment Centre, the £22million unit which opened in November 2005. There are also an additional 9 beds in Critical Care. The hospital has a £1.2million Medical Assessment Unit. There are also facilities for private patients, which contributes to the hospital's income.

The Hospital's £6million Emergency Care Centre, opened in 2006 and benefits from new computer technology, ensuring there is now no backlog in notifying GPs of an attendance in A&E.
