Abbeymoor Neurodisability Centre on the outskirts of Gateshead in Tyne and Wear, is a specialised centre providing long-term person-centred nursing and personal care for male and female adults (aged 18+ years) with either a brain injury or complex neurological condition.

We provide qualified nursing care 24 hours a day and specialise in meeting the needs of clients with complex neurological conditions who have low, medium or high dependency needs. We provide continuing, short-term and respite care.

Our team is dedicated to providing the highest standards of nursing care and to treating each client in our care as an individual. Our clients are encouraged to make choices about all aspects of life at the centre and at all times have their wishes and rights to privacy and dignity respected.

Whatever the needs of our clients, care is delivered with patience, kindness and understanding.

We accept both male and female adults aged 18 years and over, who are medically stable, with a range of conditions including, but not limited to:

Multiple Sclerosis

Huntington's Disease

Motor Neurone Disease

Spinal Injury

Acquired Brain Injury such as head injury and stroke

Clients requiring Tracheostomy care and Enteral Feeding
