West Heath House has a on-site clinical team, led by a Consultant in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation, which compromises professionals from a wide range of disciplines including clinical psychology, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and a team of rehabilitation support workers. Rehabilitation takes place in modern specialised settings with access to a wide range of therapeutic and recreational activities including daily living skills (eg laundry, cookery/food preparation, money management, computer skills).

West Heath House is a specialist rehabilitation centre that provides residential rehabilitation for people with acquired brain injury. It forms part of the nationwide network of rehabilitation support services provided by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust. West Heath House provides a high quality neurobehavioural assessment and rehabilitation service for people with cognitive, physical and/or emotional symptoms following an acquired brain injury. Typical duration that a service is offered
When a service user is admitted to West Heath House they undergo a 12 week neurobehavioural assessment to determine their potential for social integration and increased independence. After this, a formal course of rehabilitation may be agreed, and the duration of this will depend very much on an individual's needs and progress. West Heath House provides a wide range of services which enables individuals to move through a whole pathway of care, including continuing rehabilitation for those with longer term needs.This Service was mapped by Eastern Region ABI.
