The Accident and Emergency service (A&E) provides ready access to high quality clinical care for patients. Our team seeks to provide patients with an experience which is conducive to the treatment of any accident or medical emergency. Patients are seen on a priority basis according to the severity of their injury or illness. Patients are seen on arrival by an assessment nurse who streams patients to be seen by the appropriate practitioner. This entails ensuring that the patient is assessed, treated and either discharged or admitted as appropriate within four hours whilst maintaining a high level of patient care.
