Blackheath Brain Injury and Rehabilitation Centre is situated in a purpose built facility. All the clients have a single room, and we encourage the client and their visitors to individualise the room to feel like home. Each unit has a garden area, TV lounge and Dinning room. More importantly we are situated close to Blackheath and Greenwich, which means we have access to parks, churches, shops, cafes, coffee shops, cinema, gyms etc and we are able to incorporate them into the rehabilitation for patients and at the weekends

Further Details
We have 2 units, the TBIRU, that provides neuro rehab for those who are cognitively impaired following a Brain Injury and present with behaviours that challenge other neuro rehabilitation services. HNDU provides services for clients how have complex physical disabilities following a Brain Injury or as a result of a neurological disorder, and require neuro rehabilitation. For both units we generally admit patients direct from the Acute Hospitals as soon as they are medically stable and able to participate or tolerate their rehab programme. We actively look for a discharge placement close to their home so that when they are ready for discharge they can be closer to their friends and families. The average length of stay is 120 days, as we strive to return the clients back to their local community as soon as they are ready.Blackheath Brain Injury and Rehabilitation Centre is situated in a purpose built facility.
