PJ Care operates in a challenging Care environment. The Company provides distinct models of care. Underpinning each model is the principle that a large multi-disciplinary team care for residents providing 24 hour specialised care. The multi-disciplinary approach is to all aspects of care and therapy provision inclusive of the resident and their family or representative.
The areas of specific care:
> People with early onset frontal dementia with complex healthcare needs.
> People with progressive neurological conditions with complex healthcare needs.
> People with Traumatic and Acquired Brain Injuries that require short and long term neurology rehabilitation.
> People requiring high dependency specialised nursing care.
We have won a number of prestigious awards and are renowned for our excellent standard of care that we deliver through our trained nurses and high ratio of staff. As a Company, we also believe in working closely with our fellow healthcare professionals and local specialists which has been invaluable in the past.
Eagle Wood is our pioneering neurological care centre and boasts a range of facilities and services to cater for all neurological conditions, it is purpose built to our award winning design and consists of:
> Four Independent Care Units
> Each with very large bright bedrooms, all over 20 square metres
> Lots of open plan communal spaces
> Residents coffee bar
> Residents specific gardens and roof garden
> Spacious reception with specially commissioned glazed atrium to house Roman artefacts that have been found on-site.
In addition Eagle Wood also has a state of the art Therapy Centre containing:
> A Hydrotherapy Spa Pool
> Gym and Private Treatment Area
> Accessible changing areas with Transfer Equipment and Overhead Hoist from changing room to pool
> Occupational Therapy Assessment and treatment area.
