The Neurological therapists who work for Neuro Matters ensure continued functional progress for each individual by listening to what they want, harnessing neuroplasticity, using new technologies such as the Nintendo Wii or wireless F.E.S. and helping our clients, their family and carers make the most of their rehabilitation.
The Neuro Matters team aim to make life easier and more enjoyable for people with acquired brain injury by:
Enabling them to move better
Maximising their independence; in daily living, work, sport and leisure
Helping them to stay as physically active as possible.
The Neuro Matters team provide assessment, one-to-one treatment, group exercise, education, training and equipment advice to adults and children with acquired brain injury and complex rehabilitation needs in Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, the Midlands, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
Education and training regarding manual handling, positioning, rehabilitation progress and goal setting also provided for Voluntary organisations, Social services and Professional groups.
Expert witness quantum and clinical negligence reports provided for Claimant and Defendant Solicitors.
All Neuro Matters Neurological Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists are members of relevant professional and special interest groups; the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology, the British Association of Occupational Therapy and the National Association of Neurological Occupational Therapists and regularly undertake continuing professional development pertinent to neurological rehabilitation.
